Amid the accusations made by his former fiancee Chantelle Houghton and mother of his daughter Dolly, Alex Reid was labelled "fame hungry" by former Page Three model Nicola McLean on a special Halloween episode of Come Dine With Me.

With the theme of Halloween all set, it was time for Alex, Nicola, TV physic Sally Morgan and Hollywood actor Robert Englund to show off their cooking credentials and produce a selection of dishes for their guests to later mark.

As the four stars sat down to Robert's offering, the conversation of the evening soon turned to Alex when Robert asked Nicola: "What is the most uncomfortable thing Alex has done?"

Responding, Nicola said: "I think he's fame hungry. He gets into high profile relationships, he sells every part of it whether it's him or the people around him or the women he is doing it with. He likes it and he's self indulgent."

Upon hearing Nicola's comments about him, Alex didn't appear to be angry. Instead he listened contently.

The dinner at Robert's also saw Alex confront Sally about what she had said about him during his relationship and marriage to Katie Price. Recalling what she had told Katie with regards to Alex, Sally said: "It won't last, don't even go there". Alex could hardly argue over Sally's prediction as it had turned out to be right!

As the programme went on, Alex became the topic of conversation again. This time at Nicola's house. Inquisitive about Alex's alter ego, Roxanne, Nicola asked about her only to be told by the former cage fighter: "Roxanne, I laid to bed."

Disagreeing with Alex's comment, a defiant Sally said: "You cannot put that side to bed, that's part of you."

Refusing to accept Sally's take on the subject, Alex responded: "Please respect the fact that it has caused me so much pain in two relationships."

As Nicola, Robert and Sally all dished up their Halloween themed food (Prawn of the dead anyone?), it was Alex's turn to show off his culinary skills. Whilst the other celebrities had held their dinner parties at their homes, Alex hosted his dinner party at a friends house with no mention of Chantelle.

Commenting on the menu before arriving for Alex's dinner party, Sally said: "I don't think his food stands a chance", whilst Nicola, who made no secret of her dislike for Alex, commented: "I don't enjoy him so I doubt I'm going to enjoy his evening."

With a menu including crunchy crawling salad which featured real and edible bugs, Alex's food didn't impress everyone. However, having replaced Nicola's salad for one sans bugs, Nicola appeared to warm to Alex admitting that she may have got Alex wrong.

As the scores came in, it was revealed that Sally had won the prize money to give to her chosen charity.
