Edgware stabbing: Seven arrests after teenager, 18, knifed to death by tennis courts in busy park

Seven males have been arrested after an 18-year-old man was stabbed to death by the tennis courts in a busy London park.

Police attended Montrose Park, Edgware, at 5.54pm on Monday after reports of a group of men fighting.

The 18-year-old male was found suffering from a stab injury in a tennis court area.

Despite their best efforts London's Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service at the scene he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan police said that seven men have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of offences including affray and attempted murder. They are all in police custody.

Officers are working to determine whether there any further reported injuries.

The victim's next of kin have yet to be informed.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will follow in due course.

A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.
