Flash Gordon star Brian Blessed had Lorraine viewers in stitches as he shouted that the coronavirus needs to “b***** off”.
The 83-year-old actor and TV star was chatting to Lorraine Kelly’s holiday stand-in Christine Lampard when the pandemic came up.
Staring into the camera, Blessed yelled: “This COVID virus I really want to say one swear word - b***** off!”
"We will beat it, it will go away, I believe in the human spirit and we are showing immense courage in this country, thanks to the NHS,” he added.
A red-faced Lampard rushed to apologise for Blessed’s blunder, telling viewers of the ITV show: “It has been the most extraordinary time.
“I am sure most of us would use even a stronger word than that, but obviously we can't and we will apologise for any bad language."

Blessed hastily started to say sorry but Lampard assured him that “we are all feeling it”.
And it seems many of those tuning in were rather tickled by the Z-Cars star’s comment.
“Brian Blessed on #lorraine shouting b***** off #coronavirus – I love this guy!” one fan posted on Twitter.
”Brian Blessed shouting b*****off should be part of everyone’s morning,” said another, while one person said that they wanted the star saying the word to be their new ringtone.
Many people agreed with what the writer was saying.
“B***** is a very mild swear word and Brian Blessed is a legend,” said one person. “Plus he’s got the sentiment of most of the people in the UK pretty much spot on.”
“Well said!” posted another.
