Courteney Cox co-incidentally appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (September 22); the 20th anniversary of Friends' original premiere in 1994.

The star told the chatshow king that the whole cast used to gather on most Thursday evenings to watch new episodes throughout the first season. She also admitted that she was a little disappointed that Rachel Green's (Jennifer Aniston) hairstyles always became instantly iconic, as Cox had the same hairstylist.

Kimmel also picked her up on an amusing tiny error she made when appearing in a Friends skit a couple of weeks ago - watch below.

Friends debuted on September 22, 1994 and ran for ten years, concluding on May 6, 2004. Cox starred alongside Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer; totalling 236 episodes.

It was regularly a smash hit in the ratings, and was in the Top 5 of the annual Nielsen rankings every year. Aniston won a Best Actress Emmy in 2002 and Golden Globe in 2003, while Kudrow scooped an Emmy in 1998. Guest stars Bruce Willis and Christina Applegate were also honoured.

To mark the milestone this year, a Central Perk pop-up museum is open for a limited time only in New York City.
