Talented singer and music producer Romanthony, the voice behind Daft Punk hit One More Time, has died at the age of 46.

While the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed, Romanthony's older sister Mellony Moore has revealed via her Facebook homepage that he passed away a fortnight ago at his home in Austin, Texas.

“My baby brother Romanthony AKA Anthony Moore passed away 7 May 2013 at his home in Austin TX,” she wrote. “Our family is shocked with grief. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.”

Micro-blogging site Twitter has since been inundated with messages from fans – amongst them British DJ Pete Tong and American house DJ Roger Sanchez, who wrote: “What's going on? I just heard that Romanthony died – 4 those who don't know he was the voice of Daft Punk's One More Time – sad. We're losing legends this year.”

Elsewhere DJ Cassius tweeted: “Romanthony...So sad.”

The singer lent his vocal talents to a number of tracks on French duo Daft Punk's 2000 album Discovery – amongst them Too Long and anthemic single One More Time.

The track was the band's biggest hit prior to the release of Get Lucky earlier this year – the first single from latest long player Random Access Memories.
