Danny Boyle, the man behind Oscar winning movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' and the Olympic opening ceremony, has ruled himself out of directing any future James Bond film.

Speaking to the BBC's Front Row radio show, Boyle told how his experience of making 'The Beach' has meaning that he'd lost his appetite for big budget pictures, saying:"No, I'm not very good with huge amounts of money."

The 'Trainspotting' director continued: "Don't trust me with huge amounts of money anybody," adding: "I did a film, The Beach, which was a proper Hollywood scale budget and it didn't suit me. Certain people can handle that and I love watching those kinds of films, but I'm much better with a smaller amount of money and trying to make it go a long way."

After Boyle convinced 007 star Daniel Craig to take a role in his Olympic opening ceremony, titled 'Isles of Wonder', he had been talked about as a possible frontrunner to take over the franchise after 'Skyfall' director Sam Mendes moves on.

However Boyle is apparently more comfortable taking on lower budget pictures, after working with Leonardo DiCaprio on 'The Beach', which was critically panned and failed to live up to box-office expectations in the US.

Mendes won't be moving on for a while yet though, as he's apparently already working on a script for the follow-up to 'Skyfall', and the movie has been a phenomenal success, breaking box-office records for a Bond film worldwide and for any movie in the UK.
