With David Wicks Returning To EastEnders, EntertainmentWise Pick Their Top Five Characters That Should Make A Comeback
Many a much-loved face has been and gone from the nations favourite soap EastEnders and with Michael French confirmed as returning as David Wicks we take a look at characters that we want to see back on our screens.
The BBC has confirmed that the chacter David Wicks will be coming back to the Square 20 years after he made his first appearance back in 1993. After briefly returning in 2012 to say goodbye to his mother Pat, he'll soon be back for good.

Stacey Branning
Stacey Branning, played by Lacey Turner was a solid favourite on the show. The gobby girl was popular with the audience from 2004 right through to 2010, as, despite all her difficulties we watched her unlikely love story with Bradley develop. However Stacey was forced to flee after it came to light she had murdered Archie Mitchell.

Grant Mitchell
The tough man of EastEnders, portrayed by Ross Kemp, ruled Albert Square, with his brother Phil and wasn't afraid to throw a punch if needs be. Grant's tough guy image also seemed to work wonders on the women as he had plenty of lady admirers, however he could never seem to keep them as they ended up either getting as far away as they could or being driven to their deaths! Grant left and is now soaking up the sun in Portugal.

Zoe Slater
Michelle Ryan took on the role of Zoe Slater from 2000- 2005 playing the troublesome teenager who wanted to grow up too fast. Her defining moment coming when she sulked at her (fake) sister Kat Slater, “You're not my mother!”, only for her world to be turned upside down when actually it was revealed she was. After a load of man and baby drama Zoe escaped to Ibiza to party away her troubles.

Nick Cotton
Nasty Nick Cotton was the man everyone loved to hate. John Altman donned leather jackets and greased back his hair to take on the villianous role between 1985 and 2009. With his catchphrase “Hello Ma” the downright evil man of Albert Square tried to murder Dot before he left EastEnders is disgrace after a hostage situation and explsion.

Lisa Fowler
Lucy Benjamin played Lisa Fowler from 1998-2010 portraying the ultimate love/hate relationship with Phil Mitchell. Love is always complicated and it seemed especially to be with these two as Lisa tried to kill Phil... twice! They shared daughter Louise and after many arguments as to who should look after her Peggy eventually reunited mother and daughter.
