Drake Announces 2014 UK Tour To Support 'Nothing Was The Same' Album

Drake will be making the ladies swoon next year when he heads over to the UK to embark on a tour in promotion of his latest album 'Nothing Was The Same,' with The Weeknd confirmed as the support act.

The 'Hold On, We're Going Home' hitmaker is currently on his 'Would You Like A Tour' jaunt in North America where he is being joined by Miguel and music producer and rapper Future and after high demand from fans in the UK, Drake will be playing a series of dates across the country from March 11 when he will kick off the tour in Manchester.

Drake, 27, will then perform dates in Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham and Liverpool before rounding off with two shows at London's O2 Arena on March 24 and 25. The Young Money star will be joined by The Weeknd who is part of Drake's OVO crew and has becoming one of R&B's most promising artists over the last few years.

The tour is in support of his chart-topping third album 'Nothing Was The Same' which has become one of the best-selling albums of the year on the US Billboard charts after shifting more than 600,000 copies in its first week of release. Drake's incredible feat has put the album the second highest debut of the year, trailing behind Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' which sold almost one million copies in one week back in March.

'NWTS' boasts the singles 'Started From The Bottom,' 'Hold On, We're Going Home' and 'All Me' while it also features a collaboration with Jay Z on 'Pound Cake.'

Hollywood.com later reported that Drake had cancelled an upcoming North Carolina date on November 3 due to scheduling conflicts and fans had been offered a refund for their tickets.
