'He's At The Top Of The List': Bradley Cooper To Take Over From Harrison Ford As Indiana Jones?

Lucky Suki Waterhouse may be dating the new whip-wielding Indiana Jones if the latest Hollywood rumours are to be believed, as the model's boyfriend Bradley Cooper is reported to be "top of the list" as a possible replacement for Harrison Ford.

At 71-years-old, Harrison's action man days may be behind him with a new report from the Latino Review claiming Disney, which recently aquired the rights to release more Jones movies, are looking at a massive reboot of the classic film franchise.

The report suggests that Harrison may still play Indy for one more film, but with time ticking on if Indiana Jones 5 doesn't go into production soon "the studios are 100% prepared to recast a younger Dr. Jones and ready up a new trilogy".

It's thought the studio might go down the same route as the Bond movies, Indiana Jones was always meant to be Spielberg and Lucas' answer to 007 after all, and simply recast. In order to draw in a new generation of fans, Harrison could be out and replaced by a younger actor, who's more of a box office draw.

Latino Review report that Bradley Cooper is "at the top of the list". At 39 he's got the age advantage over Harrison plus he's a hit with the teen generation thanks to the hit Hangover movies. Following on from back to back Oscar nominations, Bradley's star power is only set to rise thanks to his role voicing Rocket Raccoon in the hugely anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy.

It's thought that Frank Darapont could be on board to direct, with the writer, producer and director known for his work on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

He's also the director behind massive critical and commerical hits The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile and more recently he served as executive producer for the first season of The Walking Dead and is still credited as a developer for the hit AMC series.
