“Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing ”Competition Will 'Weed Out the Weak' as Survivalists Fight to Stay Alive (Exclusive)

“It’s every survivalist for themselves,” one person says in PEOPLE’s exclusive first look at a teaser for the new season

Naked and Afraid is returning for another season, putting the top survivalists’ skills to the test for a chance to win $100,000.

From the start of Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing, the competition, which takes place in Africa’s Munzwa Valley, is unlike anything fans have ever seen before. With 14 all-stars, survivalists will no longer be able to share their tools with one another, leaving each person on their own for the 45-day-challenge.

“It’s every survivalist for themselves,” one person says in PEOPLE’s exclusive first look at a teaser for the new season.

“Today, I fight,” says another.

In a new twist, “a head-to-head challenge will occur on Day One, resulting in a double elimination before the survivalists even get to camp,” according to the press release.

“This challenge will weed out the weak,” one survivalist states.

Competing against one another isn’t all that's set to come. There is also wildlife fighting for survival as the competition is set in a “harsh killing zone” full of lions, leopards and hyenas. At one point, the camp even loses its territory to rhinos and baboons, forcing them to find a new base in the middle of the night, per the release.

In the dramatic teaser, the narrator declares that, “Every day’s a competition, every minute’s a competition."

Battling with wood, fire and animals, some contestants reach their breaking points as one clip shows an ambulance arrive on site while competitors watch on with concerned eyes. In other moments, people act out in ways they would never expect.

“Money can make people do some unpredictable things,” one says about the $100,000 prize.

For those who don’t “have the primitive skills,” their chance of surviving the competition is low. But the rivalry drives the “best of the best” to keep going, leaving just one to receive the title of Last One Standing.

“I'm not going home!” a survivalist yells as the trailer comes to an end.

The cast is made up of dedicated competitors, with some having survived over 100 — and even 200 — days in past seasons.
