Katy Perry has already shown her patriotic pride ahead of President Obama's second inauguration, and now it's been rumoured that Lady Gaga could be performing as part of the US festivities too.

A source close to the inauguration has told the Associated Press that Gaga will perform at Tuesday's (January 22) ball for President Barack Obama's staffers.

The staff ball is typically a private affair and saw Jay-Z take to the stage during the last inauguration festivities

According to one attendee, Jay-Z changed the lyrics to a riff on one of his hit songs, "99 Problems but George Bush Ain't One," to the delight of the campaign staffers in 2008. We're sure Gaga will have something special planned too if she does turn out to the be the guest performer.

Meanwhile Katy Perry helped ring in the president's inauguration last night by performing at a kid's concert hosted by the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

The beauty dressed in a super tight American themed outfit, showing off the enviable curves that women across the globe would die for.

Despite the 50's pin-up style costume, the singer still managed to rock the stage in front of the famous First Family in honour of the children of military families nationwide.
