Matt Smith And Homeland's Damian Lewis Hoping To Score As Soccer Aid 2014 Teams Are Announced!

The Soccer Aid 2014 line-up has finally been announced and we reckon with such an all-star game we might even purchase some tickets ourselves!

Robbie Williams will once again lead the England team while Welsh actor Michael Sheen will captain the Rest of the World team in a bid to make-up for their 3-1 defeat in 2012's game.

Homeland's Damian Lewis, Olly Murs, John Bishop, Jonathan Wilkes and Mark Owen will all star in this year's England squad as will True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Doctor Who's Matt Smith. They'll also be joined by TV presenters Paddy McGuiness, Ben Shephard, Bradley Walsh and Heart FM's Jamie Theakston. The team will be given a bit of a professional boost by footballing legends Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher, David Seaman and Teddy Sherringham.

But it looks set to be an interesting game as the Rest of the World team boasts some equally big names including James McAvoy and Gordon Ramsey - who have played in previous Soccer Aid games - as well as Westlife's Nicky Byrne, comedian Patrick Kielty and American newbie and Man v Food presenter Adam Richman. The team will also be comprised of Dutch players Edwin van der Sar and Jaap Stam along with even more high-profile names that are yet to be announced.

Speaking about the game, Robbie said: "Soccer Aid returns for the fifth time in June and I admit there are scores to settle.

"Leading the England team, I will be making sure we defend that trophy against the Rest of the World. There's never been a better time for us to show our support to UNICEF so please dig deep and buy your tickets now!"

The game, which was established in 2006 to raise funds for UNICEF, is the brainchild of Robbie and the charity who aim to raise money to help struggling children in developing countries.

2012's event saw the match raise over £12 million for the cause.
