Patrick Dempsey Falls Victim To ANOTHER Death Hoax

Twitter killed off yet another celebrity today, as Grey's Anatomy heart-throb Patrick Dempsey fell victim to a false trending topic.

'RIP Patrick Dempsey' became a worldwide trend this afternoon, but the actor is alive and well.

CarterMatt.com reports that the rumour started when an unverified account began posting claims that the actor fatally injured after a stunt went wrong.

As with most of the hoaxes that have been doing the rounds on the micro-blogging site, the majority of tweets that are causing it to trend are expressing disapproval at the false information.

Paul McCartney, Demi Moore, Eddie Murphy, Rowan Atkinson and Miley Cyrus are all among the many, many celebrities who have been subject to similar reports in the past.

Dempsey is best known for starring in Grey's Anatomy, as well as the films 'Valentine's Day' and 'Made Of Honour'.
