Scarlett Johansson has reportedly been offered £13million to star in the sequel to 'Avengers Assemble'

If she accepted the huge deal it would make the star the highest paid actress of all time! Scarlett played the role of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow in both 'Iron Man' and the first 'Avengers' film earlier this year.

According to The Sun  Scarlett is, unsurprisingly, very tempted by the offer. The huge fee would eclipse the previous record of £12.2million paid to Angelina Jolie for her role in 'The Tourist', back in 2010.

After the huge success of 'Avengers Assemble', which became the third highest grossing movie in history by taking £936million at the box office, it's no wonder producers are keen to get Scarlett back on board.

A source told The Sun:

"Scarlett is the hottest star in Hollywood and her inclusion in the sequel is a must. Producers think that as the only lead woman in the film male fans have found her a key ingredient — both for sex and story appeal."

"She is loved by critics too."

Johansson is the only female member of the Avengers team, but she's previously said her character is more than a match for her male counterparts calling the Black Widow "a killing machine".
