Stars Reveal Everything You Wanted To Know About Their Underwear!

There's no denying that the underwear-as-outerwear trend is set to stick around for a while longer, thanks to the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Lady Gaga and Kelly Brook flaunting their best assets in some seriously on-show lingerie.

Rihanna even gifted Adele a present of some sexy lingerie recently - to celebrate the birth of the 'Skyfall' singer's first baby! She made sure her meaning behind the present was incredibly clear, teaming the underwear with a note which read:

'You gotta stay sexy, yummy mummy. Enjoy yourself. Congrats!!!''

So it makes sense that Entertainmentwise decided to get the lowdown on what celebs like to wear down low - if you get our meaning - when we arrived at Lingerie London 2012. From the likes of 'Bridesmaids' star Chris O'Dowd to Laura Whitmore, everyone who was anyone had an opinion on lingerie.

Laura Whitmore in particular had plenty to say about underwear preferences, revealing that black is her colour d'jour - but not for the reason you might think:

"Black is the best thing to do because you never know when you're gonna get hit by a bus and end up on the doctor's table. And the doctor's really hot..."

Now THAT'S a bit morbid! At least her reason for slamming thongs was a little more practical:

"I like French knickers. Thongs get lost up there - you'll never get them back!"

And 'Bridesmaids' actor Chris O'Dowd seemed incredibly out of his depth as he tried to navigate the world of lingerie - despite having starred in THE chick flick of 2011 - tentatively suggesting he liked a bayonet on a woman (war is sexy?) as he struggled to think of the word for "bassinet":

"I like a bayonet? A baskinet? A bra?"

Bless him.
