Strictly Come Dancing's Holly Valance will have to get used to cha-cha-ing with a new dance partner for this weekend's show, following the confirmation that her normal dance partner, Artem Chigvintsev will have to sit out of the show to due to a fracture in his spine.

Speaking about his injury and the disappointment of not dancing with Holly who will now dance with professional dancer Brendan Cole instead, Artem, who sustained the injury during a rehearsal a couple of weeks ago, told the Mirror:

"I’m sad not to be dancing with Holly, but I’m grateful that Brendan is to fill my dancing shoes. They will be fantastic.”

Sharing her disappointment with Artem, Holly added: "I’m disappointed I won’t be dancing with Artem this weekend, but Brendan is an awesome guy and we’re working hard for this Saturday’s show.”

Of Artem's injury, which could leave him out of the show for "at least two weeks", a BBC spokesperson said: "Artem is suffering a combination of joint and soft tissue injury. He needs rest.”

Good luck Holly and get well soon Artem! We reckon that Kara's sleeping a little better now...
