Who Is Tom Daley's 'Girlfriend' Kassidy Cook? We Give You The Low Down

She appears to have stolen the heart of Team GB stud and bronze medal winning diver Tom Daley, but who is 17 year-old Kassidy Cook?

The US star arrived in London yesterday (Aug 15) after missing the Olympic Games due to injury and wasted no time in hitting the town with man of the moment Tom, with the couple attending a performance of the Lion King in Covent Garden.

Tom tweeted about the performance: “Awesome night at the lion king!!! Here's a pic of me with the cast!", while Kassidy wrote: "Went to lion king! Awesome play!”

With things getting serious we think it's about time we found out about Miss Cook. Well she was born in Florida but now lives in Texas and attends the Woodlands High School.

Despite still being a teenager, Kassidy, like Tom has been diving most of her life picking up her first under 13s win, according to NBCOlympics.com at the age of just six.

Away from the pool Cook has a large family, with five siblings and followed her sister Kara, who was a diver at Purdue University into the sport. They are quite the athletic family as another sister Kylie plays footballer, or soccer for the University of Houston.

While she didn't compete in the London Olympic Games she did cheer on rumoured love interest Tom Daley. She was the first to console him with messages when he narrowly missed on a medal in the synchronised 10m dive, coming in fourth place and claimed she was “crying” on Twitter when the hunk took bronze on Saturday night in the individual competition.

According to his close friend and fellow diver Tonia Couch, the Plymouth lad is quite taken by Kassidy.

“He likes his American girls. Kassidy and he always see each other when they go away,” she told Heat magazine.

“They buy each other birthday presents because they’re both born in May. They’re not boyfriend-girlfriend but they’re a very hot couple."

And with the Olympics over Tonia reckons romance could blossom between the pair.

She added: "He’s still young for a girlfriend I guess. He’s got so much ahead of him. He’s said to me he doesn’t want a girlfriend till after the Olympics. So, we’ll see. Some lucky girl out there." 

Could Kassidy be that lucky girl?
