Zac Efron On The Hunt For Australian Wife After Falling For Rose Byrne

Zac Efron may have been working alongside the likes of Dave Franco and Seth Rogen in 'Neighbors', but it's Australian actress Rose Byrne that made the biggest impression on the star.

Although the 26-year-old has been linked to a string of beautiful women in the past, most famously his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, but it's 34-year-old Rose that has stolen his heart.

Speaking to Cleo magazine, he said: “She might be my favourite actress in the world. She’s got like a light about her you can’t teach or learn. It’s really kinda magical. In this movie she plays a strong, funny, easy-going woman. She’s gonna redefine what you want a wife to be.”

But unfortunately for Zac, Rose is already taken for. But he's not fussy. In fact, any Australian girl will do.

“Australian girls are incredibly charming,” he said.

“[Rose] has a unique perspective on life, it’s really upbeat and funny. You could say that’s gotta be from Australia."

But whilst Australian girls may have a special place in his heart, he struggled to describe his ideal woman.

“I haven’t met her yet!” he exclaimed.

“I don’t know if you can put that thing into words, if you’ve never been there you can’t really explain it. It’s just a feeling. I would like to think that I have the ability to make her happy, you know, if I can make her laugh and I can make her feel good, that’s fun to be a part of it.”

But rumours suggest that Zac may already be loved up, with rumours circulating that he's dating Halston Sage, who also stars in the film.

Speaking to E! News, a source said "they were seeing each other a bit during filming of their movie together and ever since he went to rehab they got closer."
