When the next heatwave will hit the West Midlands

The West Midlands is due to to experience a mini-heatwave later this month where temperatures could rise to 24C. The mercury is set to rise on Saturday, July 13, engulfing the UK in temperatures around the mid-20s.

A new weather map reveals the West Midlands region will experienced temperatures of 22C, 23C and 24C. While the English capital of London is set to bask in 26C, reports MyLondon.

It will be a welcome sight for Brits having experienced a relatively mixed start to July. In the West Midlands, the Met Office forecasted outbreaks of heavy rain moving through the region over Tuesday night, July 2.

While on Wednesday, July 3, the forecaster said we can expect a "mostly cloudy day" with "showers and some longer spells of rain too". Looking ahead from Thursday to Saturday, July 4 to 6, the Met Office said: "Drier and brighter on Thursday.
