Neymar has been slammed on social media for his antics in Brazil’s win over Costa Rica.

The 2-0 win kept Brazil’s World Cup qualification hopes in their own hands heading into their final Group E match against knockout-chasing Serbia.

The PSG superstar is unquestionably one of the most talented footballers on the planet, but his antics are threatening to overshadow football skills in Russia.

Neymar had earned his side a penalty thanks to this spectacular dive which originally fooled referee Bjorn Kuipers. However, the referee reversed his decision after consulting VAR.

Neymar’s theatrics even united people in favour of this World Cup’s most controversial feature – VAR.

It wasn’t even the last time he clashed with referee Kuipers, as this clip clearly shows:

It all appeared to get to under his skin.

But when he’s capable of outrageous skill like this, maybe he should just focus on actually playing the game.
