Yahoo News Nicolas Cage speaks out in support of #MeToo movement
Ghost Rider and National Treasure star Nicolas Cage has joined the list of celebrities to speak out in support of the #MeToo movement.
The actor was in attendance at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival when he spoke to People about his respect for his female co-workers in the industry.
"I realise that the talent and creativity needs to be heard and supported and cherished," he said.

The #MeToo movement encourages women to be open about their experiences with sexual harassment, in order to highlight the extent of the problem to try to eliminate it.
Many male actors have spoken about the movement, although some of them have landed themselves in hot water for saying the wrong thing, like when Matt Damon was widely criticised for saying that there was a difference between a pat on the rear and sexual assault.
Some women have also made controversial statements about the system of women being expected to perform sexual favours to further their Hollywood careers, most recently Celebrity Big Brother's Ann Widdecombe and Amanda Barrie.
