Nicole Kidman gets her groove back with her daughter's boss Zac Efron in “A Family Affair” trailer

"The Paperboy" stars reunite for a frothy rom com from the producers of "Anyone but You."

Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron are back again as onscreen lovers in A Family Affair, a splashy rom-com from the producers of the Sydney SweeneyGlenn Powell hit Anyone but You.

Kidman and Efron starred together in Lee Daniels' 2012 melodrama The Paperboy, but this time around the stakes are far lower.

For starters, John Cusack's not on death row, at least from the looks of the trailer. Rather, Joey King plays Zara Ford, a young woman working as the put-upon assistant of movie star Chris Cole (Efron). When Chris falls for Zara's mother, Brooke Harwood, Zara's life gets thrown into chaos.

Along for the ride is Oscar-winner Kathy Bates as Zara's grandmother, Leila Ford. Because what breezy rom-com is complete without a venerable, scene-stealing character actress? None that we care to see, that's what.

Directed by Richard La Gravenese (P.S. I Love You), the film's May-December romance between a hot famous man and and a hot older woman might remind you of The Idea of You, starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzene. But by the looks of A Family Affair's trailer — and the classic "What are you two doing in bed? Oh no, let me get outta here! Whoops, I ran into a wall!" scene — this rom-com is really doubling down on the shenanigans.

And why not? Efron just scored the best reviews of his career with the downright tragic The Iron Claw and when isn't Nicole Kidman working her ass off? Let the kids have some fun, fall in love, and probably prat-fall from here to next Tuesday.

A Family Affair hits Netflix on June 28. Check out the trailer below:
