The Night Manager: Olivia Colman Among 5 Returnees for Season 2 — Who Else Is Coming Back?

The Night Manager is getting much of its Season 1 gang back together, with Olivia Colman among five cast members now returning for the previously announced second season.

According to our sister site Variety, Colman will reprise her role of intelligence officer Angela Burr, which scored her an Emmy nomination for the freshman run in 2016. Also coming back for Season 2 are Alistair Petrie (as Alexander “Sandy” Langbourne), Douglas Hodge (as Rex Mayhew), Michael Nardone (as Frisky) and Noah Jupe (as Danny Roper, the son of Hugh Laurie’s character).

There’s still no word on whether Laurie will return as arms dealer Richard Roper, though he will serve as an executive producer on the new episodes. Tom Hiddleston, meanwhile, is already on board for Seasons 2 and 3, reprising the leading role of former military officer Jonathan Pine.

The John le Carré adaptation — which will move from AMC to Prime Video when it returns — was picked up for two more seasons in April, eight years after it initially concluded. As such, Season 2 will reportedly pick up eight years after the events of the freshman finale; other plot details have yet to be announced.

Series creator David Farr will once again write the scripts, while Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie) is on board to direct Season 2.
