Napoli manager Antonio Conte has claimed he is unfazed by reports linking his striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia away from the Serie A club.

The former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager was appointed at the beginning of June but has become more of a firefighter at present. Both of his leading forwards, Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen, are linked with departures this summer.

Liverpool reportedly holds an interest in the former, who has been lighting up Euro 2024 with Georgia. The 23-year-old bagged his first goal of the summer on Wednesday night as he neatly slotted home the opener in his country's shock 2-0 win over Portugal.

Previously, Kvaratskhelia stressed he would not make a decision on his future until after the tournament, but some reports have suggested the Georgian is frustrated and searching for a new club. However, both Conte and Napoli club president Aurelio De Laurentiis believe there are no issues with keeping the forward in their squad for next season.

Speaking via Football Italia, De Laurentiis began: "There are no problems with Kvara because we have a contract. We’ll make an offer for a new deal, so I see no problems for him. That being said, somebody can even offer contracts to the players without the club’s authorisation."

Conte then added that he was confident the player responsible for 20 goal contributions last season shall remain in Naples.

"Before talking about contractual and other aspects I wanted only one reassurance from the president, which is that I would decide who will stay and who will go," he explained. "I was very categorical.

"Because if we talk about revenge and rebuilding and then we let our best players go, then it’s all counterproductive. There are no doubts. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia stays here and he will play for Napoli. There are no doubts, it’s all clear. Kvara will stay here with us."
