Thames Water has confirmed that there are water issues across certain south east London postcodes today.

Thames Water is one of the UK's largest water and wastewater services provider.

Serving more than 15 million customers in London and the Thames Valley, the company manages the region's water supply, treatment, and sewage disposal.

Some postcodes in south east London have had water pressure issues or have not had any water today (April 30).

The south east London postcodes affected today are: BR3, BR7, BR8, and DA2.

Engineers have been working overnight to investigate the problem and may need to turn some valves on and off while they check the water network.

This could affect water pressure for a “little while”, according to a Thames Water spokesperson.

The other postcodes facing the same issues are: EN1, EN2, EN3, GU8, KT1, KT2, KT3, N17, NW1, TW3, TW5, TW7, TW8, W11, W1G & W1U.

A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We understand how disruptive leaks can be to your day.

“That’s why our specialist team of engineers are working overnight to look for and fix potential problems in: “BR3, BR7, BR8, DA2, EN1, EN2, EN3, GU8, KT1, KT2, KT3, N17, NW1, TW3, TW5, TW7, TW8, W11, W1G & W1U.

“We may need to turn some valves on and off while we check the water network, which could affect your water pressure for a little while.

“Thanks for bearing with us while we finish this important work, we’ll do everything we can to minimise its impact on you as well as fix any issues as quickly as possible.”
