'No Way!': Fan Gets Football Signed by Kansas City Chiefs for Birthday

A football fan was left stunned after his friends in Cumming, Georgia, managed to get several Kansas City Chiefs players to sign a football as a birthday gift.

This video shows Drake Jennings surprising Connor Miller with an autographed Kansas City Chiefs edition football on August 15. Miller, who has cerebral palsy, turned 19 years old a day earlier, Jennings said.

“No way!” Miller said after his friend rattled off the list of players who signed the ball.

Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, safety Tyrann Mathieu, wide receiver Sammy Watkins, offensive tackle Eric Fisher, and others signed the ball, Jennings said.

On Twitter, Miller said it was the “best present of [his] life.”

“I just wanted to do something small to show him how much he’s impacted everyone around him,” Jennings said.

Jennings said he knew Miller was a “die hard” Kansas City Chiefs and University of Georgia (UGA) fan.

Jennings said he tried to reach out to Hardman, formerly a wide receiver for UGA, but he didn’t get a response. He then contacted Radi Nabulsi of the UGA branch of Rivals, a sports recruiting site.

Nabulsi connected Jennings to Hardman, who got the football, had it signed by players, and shipped it out, Jennings said.

“I’m glad I could make a day special,” Hardman said on Twitter when he retweeted the video. Credit: Ethan Day via Storyful
