Noel Gallagher is currently staying at the five-star Claridge's Hotel in London because his heating is broken at home.
The Oasis singer told The Sun that he has enjoyed spending a week at the swanky establishment with his family, where rooms cost around £1,000 per night.
Gallagher moved his wife Sara MacDonald and their two children into the posh hotel when he began experiencing plumbing problems at home.
"We’ve had no heating for a week. The house is freezing cold. It will take a week to heat it back up," said the 54-year-old.
He added: “I was like: ‘F*** that, I can’t be a***d staying here, it’s depressing’. So, we’re in Claridge’s, and why not? If you f***ing could, you would."
Gallagher has been making the most of the facilities during his stay, including on a recent day off that proved to be a long way from his hard-partying days in the 1990s.
He said: "I was mooching around Soho and trying to avoid having my picture taken, so I decided I’d have a massive f***ing afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones and it was great."
The star also got the chance to experience a classic Claridge's celebrity encounter, bumping into Hollywood A-lister Sean Penn.
"He was wandering around the reception. He took his glasses off and did a double take and I had a chinwag with him. He’s a dude," said Gallagher.
Gallagher has been engaged in a feud with his brother Liam ever since Oasis split in 2009 and recently took a swipe at Liam's physique in a podcast interview.
"Usually when he is wearing a big coat it’s because he’s got a big thing to hide underneath – a bit of a belly,” Gallagher told The Matt Morgan Podcast, reported via the Mirror.
He said: "If anybody wants to offer me £100m now, I’ll say it now, I’ll do it. I’ll do it for £100m. Ludicrous. What is funny though is that I think Liam actually believes it, which is the funny thing."
