Noel Gallagher is not in a rush to get dating as he only meets 'insane' women

Noel Gallagher has admitted he is not in a rush to start dating following separating from his wife of 12 years earlier in 2023.

The former Oasis singer announced he and Sara MacDonald – with whom he has two children – were ending their marriage in January.

Appearing on Rolling Stone's Music Now podcast, Gallagher was asked about his romantic future.

The typically forthright rockstar said: "Dating, I’m not sure about that. The women that I meet are absolutely f****** insane."

Gallagher also revealed he was moving house and planning on starting a new life when his current tour finishes next year: "It’s been a turbulent few years to say the least. But I’m old enough now to know that all things must pass and eventually things will calm down and I’ll be back cruising again."

Gallagher has previously commented how his marriage broke apart during the Covid-19 pandemic and admitted he and MacDonald "grew tired of each other".

Gallagher and McDonald first met in 2000 while the rock legend was still married to his first wife Meg Matthews.

The couple dated for 11 years before marrying in 2011 with Russell Brand as Gallagher's best man, though brother Liam was not invited to the wedding.

Gallagher released his latest album Council Skies nearly two weeks ago. It became the first of his records — either solo or with Oasis — to not chart at number one on the UK albums chart. Gallagher holds the record for most albums to chart at number one in the UK with 10.

The album was held off the top spot by Foo Fighters' But Here We Are, the band's first album since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.
