Nominees for annual Golden Apple awards announced

Apr. 9—The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and Liberty Utilities announced recently the names of those Joplin educators who have been nominated for the 2024 Golden Apple awards.

The awards recognize excellence in the teaching profession.

Those listed were nominated by students, parents and peers in Joplin public and private schools.

All nominees and the individuals who nominated them will be recognized during a reception Monday, May 13, at Missouri Southern State University's Corley Auditorium. The winner also will be announced during the program.
