Norfolk firm celebrates string of industry awards only two years after it was set up

A Norfolk consultancy firm is celebrating a remarkable string of industry awards only two years after it was founded.

Wingfield Consultants, which was set up by Simon Wingfield in 2022, offers support and services to small- and medium-sized businesses.

The Wymondham-based firm has already won three awards this year, after being named CorporateLiveWire's Business Consultancy Firm of the Year and SME News' Best Business Growth Solutions Consultancy in the East of England and receiving an Excellence Award at the National Mentoring Matters Awards.

In addition to the wins, the firm has also been named a finalist in the StartUp Awards' StartUp of the Year category for the East of England and the British Business Awards' Small Business of the Year category.

Mr Wingfield himself has reached the final of the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards' Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year category for the East of England.

Mr Wakefield said: "We are thrilled to have won - and be considered for - these prestigious business awards and we are proud to represent the Norfolk business community.

"These awards are in recognition of the work we do to help local companies, community organisations, charities, and social enterprises."

He added around 100 of Lufthansa's 750 aircraft were grounded either for maintenance reasons or because they'd been decommissioned.Earlier this week, Airbus lowered its forecast for deliveries this year to around 770 jets from around 800. The announcement came with growing doubts among suppliers over its jet output as Airbus grapples with parts shortages.At rival Boeing, a series of incidents have raised regulatory scrutiny of the U.S. manufacturer.It's added to delays in deliveries that originated during the pandemic.
