LOW Bentham's Sonja Kalkschmidt unveiled her minimalist garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

The landscape and garden designer entered her creation - called Sanctum - in the show's container gardens section.

She said her aim was to create a minimalistic yet luxurious sanctuary designed to provide a 'tranquil escape from the hustle of contemporary corporate life'.

She said: "Sanctum is conceived as a versatile, pod-like haven that can easily be assembled in various locations, offering a unique blend of modern aesthetics and natural and calming elements.

"I' m really happy with the result and hope the public and judges love my design too. Many thanks to everyone involved in this project, especially local businesses, contractors and nurseries from Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancaster."

Sonja says she aims to create spaces that harmonise with nature while also having functional benefits, even in the smallest of spaces.

Chelsea Flower Show ends tomorrow (May 25).
