A Norfolk hotel has been named one of the UK's best spots for a family stay.

On top of being recognised with two AA rosettes for the past 12 years, The Times has listed The Grove in Cromer among the best family-friendly hotels.

The Times said: "The Victorian seaside resort of Cromer is a delightful spot for an old-fashioned bucket and spade holiday and this four-star property is tucked just behind its shores."

The nearly century-old hotel has been well-adapted for families with rooms sleeping up to six.

The Grove is surrounded by four acres of land with swings and treehouses as well as a nearby playground with plenty of space for kids to let off some steam.

The onsite restaurant, The Garden Rooms, was recently taken over by chef Sean O’Callaghan and was applauded for being "a good place to sample dishes featuring the renowned Cromer crab."

Its seasonal eatery Sundown, which serves pizza and tapas in two giant tipis, also received a nod.
