The coming days will bring some mixed news on the weather front, starting off dry towards the beginning of the new working week. As we move through the coming days, temperatures will pick up to nearer the seasonal average but with that comes more unsettled conditions.

Monday looks to be a generally dry day with plenty of cloud and a moderate northerly breeze. There's a small chance of a few isolated showers, particularly in the morning.

Tuesday should be a rather cloudy day with a few sunny intervals may develop at times. While it should be generally dry, the odd shower or spot of rain can't be ruled out. Wednesday will be settled with plenty of sunshine before turning more overcast on Thursday with spells of rain moving in from the southwest.

UK long range weather forecast: Friday 21st June - Sunday 30th June

Following a couple of days of largely fine and settled weather, a gradual transition to more changeable conditions from the Atlantic is likely to take place with periods of cloud, rain and stronger winds most often affecting the west and northwest.

There remains a small chance of an area of heavy, thundery rain affecting parts of the south on Friday 21st, possibly accompanied by briefly hot and humid conditions. Into the last week of June.

Changeable conditions are likely to remain dominant, with the focus for these conditions continuing to be across the north and west, with spells of more settled and drier conditions likely in the south and east. Nationwide, temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly above average.
