'It's not right' - Bernardo Silva fires Treble warning at Man City after Arsenal and Liverpool shock

Bernardo Silva warned that Manchester City could lose all three legs of their Treble in a week if they lose focus.

Having become only the second ever team in English football to win the three biggest prizes on offer last season, they are closing in on a repeat achievement. Defeats for Arsenal and Liverpool on Sunday leave the Blues top of the Premier League table for the first time since November, with just six games to go.

That swing of results has added to the belief that City could yet win everything again, and they will head into their Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid and FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea this week as favourites to progress. Silva is not shying away from City's position, but having felt like they were out of the running just a few weeks ago the Portugal international knows that things can change quickly in football.

"It was obviously a very good weekend for us. We weren't expecting both teams to drop points. Before we didn't depend on ourselves so we had to do our job and wait for them to drop points now the situation has changed a bit because if we do our job properly we win the Premier League," he said.

"I'm happy with the results in the weekend but there is a long way to go. Two weeks ago when we played Arsenal everything looked like it was gone and now everything looks like City are going to win the Premier League. Maybe in two weeks it will change again. That's why football is beautiful.

"You need to be really focused game by game. It's not right to start thinking about Trebles because it's not realistic. We have Real Madrid tomorrow, then another tough game against Chelsea in the FA Cup and in one week we could lose all three competitions so we need to be really focused to do our job well and extend this hope for one more week and maybe eventually we will do it again."
