With the transfer window now open, the rumour mill has been in overdrive as Nottingham Forest look to make the additions that can help them avoid another anxious season at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

The aim for the Reds over the coming weeks and months is to end the summer with a squad capable of pushing on in the Premier League. Forest will also look to balance the books, that will mean outgoings as well as incomings.

Here is what the media around the world are having to say about the Reds on Sunday June 23 as we delve into the latest stories making the headlines.

Dorgu offered

Lecce left-back Partick Dorgu has been offered to Nottingham Forest by agent Fali Ramadani according to Area Napoli.

It is claimed the Reds could compete with Napoli for the 19-year-old's signature this summer. Dorgu has long been on their agenda after impressing following his arrival from Nordsjaelland U19’s in a €200k deal last July.

But it is claimed that Ramadani knows Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis and has offered the left-back who would be a replacement for Nuno Tavares who is heading back to Arsenal.

Nottinghamshire Live says: Dorgu seems to be a player who is building a healthy repuation after his performances for Lecce. Roma and AC Milan have also been sniffing around the teenager and it could be a belting deal for the Reds given how highly he is rated.

Omar Richards to stay in Greece in transfer twist?

Nottingham Forest's £8.5m signing Omar Richards could be set to stay with Olympiacos for the forthcoming season according to journalist Konstantinos (Kostas) Lianos.

Richards spent the season on loan with the Greek side but only featured just 15 times due to injury. It was expected that he would return to the Reds this summer.

But according to Lianos they now plan to give him another opportunity for the Greek side. Richards joined Forest from Bayern Munich in 2022, but the left-back is yet to make an appearance.

Nottinghamshire Live says: Forest have some work to do ahead of June 30 to meet PSR requirements. Richards has yet to play one game for the Reds and he signed two years ago. Let's face it, if he stays at Olympiacos, it's not like they will miss him given he is yet to kick a ball for Forest. Maybe it would be best if he stays in Greece because at least he has played games there which is what he needs.

Forest open talks over Bogarde

Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Aston Villa over a move for Lamare Bogarde (Football Insider).

The left-back joined Villa from Feyenoord four years ago and has spent two separate loan spells with Bristol Rovers in 2023 and 2024. Bogarde has played one game for Villa when they faced Liverpool in the FA Cup back in 2021.

Nottinghamshire Live says: It's clear that Forest are in the hunt for a left-back this summer given the numerous links that have occurred. Is Bogarde a good fit for £4m? It seems a hefty amount for a 20-year-old who only has first-team experience in League One.

But he can play in midfield too and the Dutch under-20 international has had a good education.
