If you're anything like us, you'll be of the opinion that the best bit of a tub of ice-cream is obviously the toppings. Yeah the vanilla and chocolate flavours are alright, but where the pudding really comes alive is in the added extras - the peanut butter cups, the chocolate chips, the caramel swirls.

And thanks to Ben & Jerry's incredible new invention, you can now eat the Cookie Dough from their Cookie Dough ice-cream without having to wait for the ice-cream to melt enough to dig them out. This. Is. Amazing. Why has no one thought of this before?!

Ben & Jerry's announced today [27 January 2020] that the new Fairtrade Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chunks will be available in store, perfect for chunk divers who want to enjoy the dough without a spoon.

The bran promise the dough chunk are the same sticky, smooshy and instantly identifiable recipe, loaded with Fairtrade chocolate. Speaking of the new release, B&J's Flavour Guru (side note: we want that job) Helder Silva commented:

"Ice cream fans have been calling out and asking us to ‘free the chunks’ for a while now, so we’re delighted to be able to give them what they want! During a test in the US, bags flew off the shelves! Now, dough fans in Europe can get a chunk of the action."

The dough chunks come in 170g bags and can be found in the freezer aisle. They are safe to eat raw because the recipe contains pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour, in case you were wondering.

So if you need us for the next 36 hours, we'll be eating them straight out of the bad, before adding them to every other dish we eat.
