Now That’s What I Call Take Away! Man Gets Pizza Delivered To Train

One London DJ came up with a nifty alternative to the on-train buffet when he got pizza delivered to his carriage instead.

DJ Artwork caught the train after a gig in Glasgow last weekend, but didn’t have time to pick up a snack.

Given that his journey to Sheffield was a five-hour affair and he was already hungry as the train pulled away from the platform in Glasgow, he took to Twitter to ask how to sate his grumbling tummy.

One follower suggested ordering a pizza - at which point Artwork called Domino’s and ordered a Hawaiian to be delivered to the next station.

It took a bit of planning, given that the pizza had to arrive at the right platform at the right time, ready for a swift handover before the train moved off.

“Everyone was giggling,” he said. “There was a big build up, waiting to see if it would happen. It was quite tense and I was starving.“

Luckily for DJ Artwork and his hunger pains, the whole endeavour was a success - so much so that he repeated the trick as his train passed through Kettering station on Sunday.

He said: "I’ve done it twice now. This is the challenge, I’m going to get larger meals. I think I will try a Chinese next.”

In fact, Artwork isn’t the first “twitter personality” to have pizza delivered to a train - comedian Chris Ramsey managed it two years ago.

But then again, he only did it once.
