Demonstrators opposing New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate confronted Mayor-elect Eric Adams in Brooklyn on Wednesday, November 3 – a day after his election win.

Footage from Leeroy Johnson shows energized protesters thronging the sidewalk outside Adams’ Brooklyn office, with some holding placards and chanting, “No vaccine mandate.”

Johnson said that that after the initial chaos subsided Adams invited demonstrators into his office to talk.

Eric Adams, a former police officer and Brooklyn Borough President, won the mayoral election on Tuesday night, beating Republican Curtis Sliwa. In a television interview on Wednesday morning, Adams told MSNBC, “We need to revisit how we are going to address the vaccine mandates.”
