Police ask residents to 'keep their windows shut' as huge fire breaks out
A policeman has asked residents in the Hazlemere, Holmer Green and Mop End to keep their windows shut following a fire in the area.
In the afternoon of April 25, black smoke was seen bellowing into the grey sky after a blaze was spotted along the Amersham Road.
The fire is said to be near the Bellway Pennwood Grange site in Hazlemere.
No injuries were reported, but a fireman at the scene has asked those nearby to keep their windows closed.

They told the Free Press: “Just because of the nature of the smoke, we asked people nearby to keep their windows closed.”
“The smoke will cause a disruption.
“The fire won’t be pushed that far back, it’s just the smoke that will cause the problem.
“It seems to be a refuse pile.”
Another officer said: “It’s not massively serious, it’s currently ongoing and likely to last until the end of the day.
“It’s a refuse pile on fire which is often used for landfilling as a dump.
"It’s not serious and it’s not the nightclub.
"We were first made aware at about 1pm and fire service was called first and we’re here to assist them."
