What did you miss?
Olivia Attwood has defended her husband for saying he would not have dated her is she had not had breast enhancement surgery. The former Love Island contestant presents a new ITV documentary about cosmetic surgery and her footballer husband Bradley Dack attracted criticism when he made the comment in a clip from the show. But Atwood told Lorraine Kelly she accepts her husbands point of view, because initial attraction is often based on appearance.
What, how, and why?
Attwood, 32, appeared on Lorraine to discuss her new documentary series Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection. Kelly asked her how she had felt when Dack - who she married in June 2023 - admitted to her he would not have "looked twice" at her if she had a "flat chest" and "gaps in my teeth" when they first met.
Attwood said: "In context it makes sense and I actually appreciate his honesty there. I think the point he made - which is actually at the top of the very interesting debate that followed - is that what turned his head that first night was the way I looked. And I said, 'Do you think you would have looked if [I had a flatter chest']' and he said. 'Maybe not.' Not 'I wouldn't have loved you.'"
She went on: "It's interesting in this society how we value face value and we all do. We all go, 'He's my type', or 'She's my type', and then underneath you get to know who they are or who they aren't. It sparked a lot of debate online but I actually think its a really interesting conversation. I think him being rather very stupidly honest has actually provoked quite an interesting conversation!"
Kelly conceded: "It does. Okay maybe I wont smack his bottom. We'll give him a pass."
What else happened on Lorraine?
Attwood revealed that the most "eye-opening" episode of her new series was that which focuses on vaginas and labiaplasty. The reality TV star said it was important for young women to learn that all genitalia look different and not to compare themselves to what they see in pornography.
She said: "In this country we have quite a prudish approach to nudity than in other countries. And sometimes the first other vagina a girl is seeing will be on an adult website. So they don't know they all look different.
"The vagina episode was so eye-opening. I didn't know what to expect going into that episode but you see different women, with different stories. There are examples of women who have issues with their genitalia that cause actual discomfort and there are things out there that can be done to improve their quality of life.
"But also on the other hand not seeking out things because they think they should look a different way. There is no such thing as normal when it comes to that area."
Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection is available to stream on ITVX from Thursday 18th January.
