Olivia Henson Wears the Fabergé Myrtle Leaf Tiara to Marry the Duke of Westminster

Today, Olivia Henson weds Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster in what is sure to be one of the biggest society weddings of 2024.

For the occasion, Henson wore the Fabergé Myrtle Leaf Tiara. There was some speculation she could wear the Bagration Spinel tiara, but she instead opted for this one, that has Grosvenor brides have worn on their wedding day since it was made in 1906.

Her bespoke dress and veil were designed by Emma Victoria Payne, and made of ivory silk crepe satin and ivory silk organza. The dress has a scalloped edge neckline and features hand floral hand appliquéd embroidery throughout.

The waterfall veil is a standout: It features personalized embroidery, incorporating designs from from her great great grandmother's veil from the 1880s. Per Grosvenor, "Each original antique motif from Olivia’s family veil was hand drawn and reimagined into a new repeat pattern of graduating scalloped edges and oval shapes to reflect Olivia’s engagement ring setting. Personalised initials and wedding date complete the design in the centre back."

Henson carried a bouquet picked from the Easton Hall gardens, the home of the Grosvenor family. The bouquet compris of Meadow grass, Ox eye daisies, Iris, Rose, Clematis, Mock orange, Scabious, Sweet pea, Astrantia, Martagon lily and Love in a mist.

After being introduced through friends in 2021, Grosvenor, 33, and Henson, 31, got engaged at Eaton Hall last year. Their wedding today at Chester Cathedral had many VIP guests, including Prince William.

Not too much is known about Henson, who grew up in London and Oxfordshire, and attended Marlborough College (also Kate Middleton's alma mater) and Trinity College Dublin. According to Grosvenor, Henson worked in sustainable food sector, and last worked at Belazu, an artisanal food company in London, from 2019 until recently.

There will be a private reception this evening at Eaton Hall; it's as yet unclear if Henson will change into a new dress, or if any photographs from the evening will be shared.
