Olly Murs speaks out over alleged feud with Simon Cowell

It appears Olly Murs and Simon Cowell haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye recently.

Music mogul Cowell is said to be annoyed at Murs for moving from The X Factor to rival music show The Voice.

Since the singer was announced as a new singing coach for the BBC One programme, he claims Cowell has failed to contact him over the matter.

“I have no idea if he’s happy or not.

“I’m so proud of what I did on my X Factor journey from the early days up to now,” the Thinking Of Me popstar said, according to The Mirror.

Having had a successful pop career and stint as a presenter, Murs said he was putting himself first in opting to join The X Factor’s rival.

“Deciding to be a coach on The Voice UK was just about me making a selfish decision for my career.

“Simon knows me and he knows where I am if he wants to speak to me,” Murs shared.

Despite him hinting at unrest, he insisted they were still mates: “He’s been a great part of my life and is still a great friend.”

The pair remained friends even after the singer’s live television gaff on the 2015 series of The X Factor, whereby he prematurely announced the result of one of the show’s pubic votes.

Word is that Cowell isn’t impressed at how easily the singer was persuaded to jump ship but it seems neither wants to confront the other over it.
