Olly Murs stars on Let It Shine as first band is chosen
Let It Shine is back on our screens tonight (February 4), and with the audition rounds now over, it's over to some celebrity guests to help out in the battle rounds, which will see 15 of the final 40 boys go home after their first performance in a group of eight.
Sitting in as guest judge this week was Lulu, the iconic Scottish singer who duetted with Take That for their '90s smash hit 'Relight My Fire'.
First up were AJ, Curtis, Nick, Sario, Yazdan, Connor, Scott, and Tyler who were all performing with Olly Murs for their knock-out round and the chance to move through to the next round as a band of five.
Led by Olly, the boys performed a string of his hits, including 'Troublemaker', 'Unpredictable', 'Heart Skips A Beat' and 'Wrapped Up', taking on solos and dance routines in an attempt to prove their musical boyband worth.
But what did viewers on Twitter think? Well, we've rounded up all the best Twitter reactions for you right here.
A lot of people were LOVING the Olly:
I mean Olly Murs is just the most likeable person on this planet. His character is infectious. #LetItShine

But some people thought Olly was slightly hogging the limelight:

And others still were a bit confused about how exactly the judges were, well, judging this:
After a tough deliberation from the judges, AJ, Curtis, Nick, Sario and Yazdan made it into the first band of the series, meaning Connor, Scott and Tyler all lost their place in the competition.
On hand to console them was judge Martin Kemp, with some inspiring words about the nature of rejection in showbiz.
"Losing out is the hardest part of this business," he said, "but I would love to be a fly on the wall in the next audition you walk into, because you will take all of this experience and you will be head and shoulders above everybody else in that room.
"So good luck."
"I didn't think I was going to get this far," Tyler said later. "The lads are absolutely fantastic."
So, that's one group performance battle round down, four more to go.
Let It Shine airs on BBCOne.
