Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: New poster released for Quentin Tarantino film starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio

A new poster has been released for Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The poster, unveiled on Monday, features Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio – two of many famous names that make up the cast of what Tarantino has described as his ninth directorial effort.

DiCaprio can be seen looking pensively in the distance, dressed in slacks and a brown leather jacket. This is presumably the outfit that best represents his character, Rick Dalton, a down-on-his-luck TV actor trying unsuccessfully to make it in the movie industry.

Pitt, who plays Dalton's close friend and stunt double Cliff Booth, can be seen wearing a short-sleeved, printed shirt on top of a Champion white T-shirt, itself tucked into jeans worn with a leather belt.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, set to come out on 26 July in the US and on 14 August in the UK, is set in Los Angeles, around the time of the Manson Family murders that took place on 8 and 9 August 1969.

Margot Robbie stars as actor Sharon Tate, one of those who were killed in the slayings.

The cast also includes Al Pacino, Bruce Dern, Luke Perry (who will appear posthumously in Tarantino's film), Lena Dunham, Rumer Willis, and many more.

With a budget of $95-$100m, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is expected to be one of the biggest films of the year.
