The pair first met back in 2009 and got engaged in June 2017 after a year of dating. They then tied the knot last year.

Tarantino has been busy promoting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood recently, though in the past few weeks he's been embroiled in controversy over the movie's depiction of Bruce Lee.

The late star's family argued that the film treated him in the same way as "white Hollywood", though Tarantino has defended the portrayal and called Lee "kind of an arrogant guy".

"The way he was talking, I didn't just make a lot of that up," the director said. "I heard him say things like that, to that effect. If people are saying, 'Well he never said he could beat up Muhammad Ali,' well yeah, he did."

However, Lee's daughter Shannon has since responded, saying: "He could shut up about it. That would be really nice.

"Or he could apologise, or he could say, 'I don't really know what Bruce Lee was like. I just wrote it for my movie. But that shouldn't be taken as how he really was.'"

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is out now in US cinemas and is released in UK cinemas on August 14.
