A pollen bomb has hit Yorkshire and is set to cause misery among hay fever sufferers for the rest of the week as the scorching weather continues.

Every day this week, a 'Very High' pollen count has been predicted, except for Thursday where levels will remain high. Yorkshire can expect temperatures as high as 26C, peaking on Tuesday (June 25).

Hayfever sufferers have been warned, the Met Office says: "Grass pollen will rise in warm, dry weather. Nettle, dock and plantain too. Spores: A little Alternaria and medium Cladosporium when warm; Leptosphaeria after rain."
