One-Eyed Baz's widow says 'I'm so proud' as new tribute unveiled
One-Eyed Baz's widow has spoken of her pride as a new tribute has been unveiled to the legend at a place he loved. Barrington Patterson was a huge Birmingham City FC fan.
Now a life-saving defibrillator has been installed at the Blues ground in memory of the well-respected man, who not only known for his mixed martial arts prowess, but also in Coventry's clubland. His wife, Tracey, unveiled a new defibrillator - the second donated in memory of her husband on Saturday, reports BirminghamLive.
Joined by tycoon Jeremy Dale, sports commentator Tom Ross, she told BirminghamLive: "Barrington would be immensely proud to have a defibrillator at his beloved Birmingham City.
"He campaigned in schools and prisons with his 'knives down, gloves up' campaign so it was also important to have a dual cabinet containing a bleed control kit. Lynne Baird worked alongside me and supported me in getting a bespoke cabinet remembering Barrington and also her son Dan."

She explained that they are now planning on installing a third in honour of her husband, who died from a heart attack in March 2022 at just 56. "Barrington’s friends, and Birmingham FC have been a huge support in working with me to continue Barrington’s legacy," she said.
"We will now work towards defibrillator number three being fitted in Birmingham city centre. Thank you to all the wonderful people who continue to support me."
Having been a member of Birmingham City's Zulu Warriors hooligan group in his early days, he went on to turn his life around and was known for his tireless charity work.
