The One Show was booted off its usual 7pm slot on BBC One to BBC Two for last night's episode.

This change was due to BBC One airing a politics special ahead of the upcoming General Election, replacing the popular magazine show with The Panorama Interviews.

Nick Robinson interviewed Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth about his party's policies. Meanwhile, Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas hosted The One Show and were joined by special guest Jason Donovan who discussed his return to stage in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Professor Dame Sally Davies also appeared on the programme to talk about the Longitude Prize, and Nikki Fox provided her regular Watchdog update, the Express reports.

With the impending General Election and Euros 2024, many viewers' favourite shows may have to be rescheduled or dropped from their regular slots.

For instance, ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale will not air as usual this Friday due to coverage of the Scotland v Germany match.

The following weeks will see further shake-ups with other matches set to disrupt the usual soap pattern.
