Yahoo News The One Show hosts pranked by Bake Off's Matt Lucas in Line of Duty crossover
The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas were epically pranked in the spirit of April Fool's Day on today's (April 1) episode.
Great British Bake Off star Matt Lucas appeared on the show to talk about his brand new prank book and decided to pull a stunt live on air.
During his interview, Matt said that he had to keep a massive secret from everyone in his life – he had been cast as a guest star on Line of Duty for two episodes.
So, Alex and Jermaine were excited to share a preview of Matt's appearance after he said he hadn't seen it yet. But as the clip played, everyone realised that it was indeed just a prank.

During the prank, Matt said: "So even my family don't know this, this happened four months ago and it's amazing how they've kept it a secret but I appear in two episodes of Line of Duty in this new series."
He explained that he played the role of a special policeman and that he hasn't been able to see any of the footage.
"No I haven't seen any of the footage. And of course, they give you only some of the scripts. So, I don't even know what happens in the end," Matt added.

In the preview clip, Line of Duty snippets had been edited into a video that Matt had filmed. At the end of the clip, Matt quickly announced that it was just a prank.
Naturally, Alex and Jermaine were left speechless. Whoops!
