Is one Suicide Squad member coming back from the dead?

Suicide Squad 2 is prepping to begin shooting very soon, and the cast are hitting the gym to get suitably buff for a superhero flick.

Rick Flagg actor Joel Kinnaman has posted a photo on Instagram of the lads being whipped back into shape by "Brendan" and who is that with them?! Why, it's Jay Hernandez, also known as El Diablo!

Maybe Jay just shares a personal trainer with Joel and Jai Courtney, but it's also possible that Diablo could be making a return, having sacrificed himself at the end of the first one.

Diablo could just be coming back for a flashback, but seeing as the original group was only together for a very short time, it could either be a flashback to his earlier life or... he could be back from the dead.

During the fight with Generic CGI Baddie, Diablo turned into a giant fiery devil being and back, before getting blown up in an explosion. It's perfectly plausible that he survived, with fire being his thing and all.

While Suicide Squad was a huge success financially, it'll be interesting to see if a sequel can garner a better critical reception after the first film was roundly trashed.

Meanwhile, you can see Will Smith and director David Ayer reunited in the Netflix exclusive film Bright.
